Title: Pictures of my small track :)
Post by: RonNation on January 06, 2010, 09:22:35 PM
I found these rolls of foam at a craft store and stapled them to some osb board. Still need to do some walls and a middle rail.

that's an interesting idea.   If it's something to practice on it's all good.

Looks cool. How the grip? If you look up on Mini-Z Racer you will find that a lot of guys have made DIY tracks. You could get some good ideas for rails (barriers). I might suggest a cheep garden hose, the plastic kind. You could screw it to the track in any configuration that works for you and with it being slippery plastic the car should glance off when you hit it. A white or gray one would look cool, maybe wrapped with some red electrical tape around the chicanes and or corners or something. Just a thought, good luck.

i'll definitely look into doin that hose idea..

as for the track its pretty similar to what we race on, maybe slightly less traction, its hard to tell cuz i can't get to max speed very easily.. lol

the hose is a good idea,  I would avoid anything hard as you'll do more damage that it's worth.
