I used to have one, but if you are going to run the monster trucks with us you should look at the 1/24th scale Venom Mini giant (also called Leo X, A-tech, Trinity Clash). this is the monster truck that we all run. you can find them for about $60 and then you need to mod the steering a bit.

For a new one that you can build up theres a bunch on ebay right now use this: Leo-X monster 1 20 items - Get great deals on Toys Hobbies items on eBay.com! The only thing really needed is the steering mod and a 7 cell battery. But my suggestion would be the used one if its still available. All the good stuff is already done.
