Been in business for years and have a good reputation. Pricing is good but you have to pay tax on it even from ebay. They do not allow local pickup or walkins.
What are you looking at from RC Boyz? Also on a local note, there is RCPlanet.com that has some pretty good deals and does allow local pickup to save the shipping. Canyon Hobbies is associated with them and is the retail outlet in Sandy. You wont find much Mini-Z stuff in stock but most of them can get it if you want it. Title: Re: Does anyone know who rcboys is on bay? Post by: guy hanson on September 10, 2010, 12:54:43 PM I have been haunting the net looking for all kinds of car stuff. I can't believe how much of the wholesale stuff and some of the manufacturing is here in Utah.
Having a hard time finding much in new 1/8 nitro. Some inexpensive car called an Edam razor looks pretty cool. Evidently with the right aftermarket parts and decent tweaking, it will stay with almost anything. Module ready radios with the features I want and mini z ready are not common in the used market right now either. I will keep looking. Dad just bought a 1/10 4wd car today. He's got the bug as well. My MR 02 is due to arrive today. My buddy Kursten is trying to convince me to get a Losi buggy too . Sheesh!! Title: Re: Does anyone know who rcboys is on bay? Post by: Russ on September 10, 2010, 01:23:29 PM If you are looking at used 1/8 Nitro GT type cars I see good deals all the time. I can point them out when I see them if you want. Are you thinking about on GT racing with us? its fun too. The season is coming to a close with winter so over the winter would be a great time to shop for a good deal on an onroad car. Same with offroad at BlackSheep. But indoor racing goes all year. We race Mini-Z's all year so anytimes a good time for those.
If you have connections to get wholesale from HRP or one of the other distributors thats a bonus. Its fun to get it all and have it all, but I bet it will be overwhelming too. I would pick one class to start with and see how it goes from there. Its taken years to acquire the collection of RC's I have. I have so many thats its hard to find time for them all. In fact I dont have time for them all, I should thin the herd. Title: Re: Does anyone know who rcboys is on bay? Post by: guy hanson on September 10, 2010, 01:38:30 PM Understood, believe me. I have about a dozen foams and little electric planes, four helicopters, 30 and 40 per centers that need a trailer to get them to the field and about a dozen guitars and amps.
I want to get ready for the winter building season with some new toys. Right now, I am just finishing a replica 1959 Les Paul guitar. The nitrocellulose finish is curing and I have to wait a few more weeks to polish it out. Whatever toys don't turn me on will go bye bye on eBay. Title: Re: Does anyone know who rcboys is on bay?
