Title: micro T Post by: Nic-z on February 15, 2008, 08:01:46 AM I know this could be taboo but have you guys ever tried the micro T out? they look kinda cool. Also I have this spektrum sm1000 module that I don't know what car it drives? the controller has 'M8' on it or mini m? is that a car? just curious.
Title: Re: micro T Post by: briankstan on February 15, 2008, 08:23:34 AM Ryan has a Micro T, so does Luke.
the are fun, but hard to race on a track and the batteries don't last for very long. Maybe 5 minutes. the M8 is a Airtronics controller. it's a nice one. it's on par with the helios. Title: Re: micro T Post by: Nic-z on February 15, 2008, 08:33:08 AM okay so I am trying to find out why I have this spektrum modudle dsm2.4ghz sm1000, I mean what cars can I drive with that?
Title: Re: micro T Post by: Ryan on February 15, 2008, 01:25:32 PM As Brian said I have a micro-t. Again the battery of the micro-t does last about 5 minutes, it is very annoying >:(. It takes about 20-30 minutes to charge the stock battery. Team Losi has made a lithium polymer battery for the micro-t, and I have heard that it lasts a LOT longer than the stock battery for run time. There is also a brushless motor that makes run time longer but you have to buy the connector kit for it to work, all that together is about $70-$80.
I will try to bring my micro-t to the next race for you to check it out. :) Title: Re: micro T Post by: Nic-z on February 15, 2008, 02:01:40 PM Ryan that would be great, I am looking into it, there was one on ebay that sold it had a lipo and brushless system....I really want to find out if I can use my helios with it.
Title: Re: micro T Post by: Russ on February 15, 2008, 02:08:27 PM Your Helios with the 27mhz AM module is what runs the Micro-T. Not the spektrum unit. Do you have and actual M8 radio? Or just a Spektrum module for one?
Title: Re: micro T Post by: Nic-z on February 15, 2008, 02:56:19 PM actually I have a spektrum module for the helios its a sm1000 dsm2.4ghz but I don't know what cars it goes too lol.
Title: Re: micro T Post by: Russ on February 16, 2008, 03:55:25 PM Probably no specific cars unless they are equiped with a spektrum receiver. They are very popular for 1/10 scale. I would suggest selling it on ebay. Look and see what similar units have sold for.
Title: Re: micro T Post by: Nic-z on February 16, 2008, 08:22:33 PM okay sounds good, I listed it today along with some other parts, need to get my excess xmod stuff out of here and in with the mini-z's.
