in fact you need to purchase one per chassis you are racing, this is the only way I can setup the race without reprogramming the card.   We don't want to do that for each chassis. 

I do have a bunch of the standard size transponders.   I'll need to see what I have for the F1 size.   if I don't have one you can tape the larger ones to the bottom of the car (like you are planning on doing).

you can cut the center out of them, but you need to do it carefulley.    it won't hurt it as long as the electronics stay intact.
