I currently run a Novak XRS with the stock motor in my Leo-X, and the stock motor is starting to give up the ghost.  I wouldn't mind a motor with a *little* more punch, but it seems everything I've tried is a ballistic missle.  I mostly run the truck in my basement so I don't want a rocket of a truck.  I also get scared when the truck starts cartwheeling at high speeds.  I have visions of things breaking... Shocked

So far the motors I've tried that have been a little too much for my small course (and too much for my 6 year old who occassionally grabs the controller) are:

Losi Speed (Mini-T upgrade motor...I don't think it's made any longer)
Losi Frenzy (out of the MLST)
Electrifly T-370

If anyone has a line on a motor that offers a little more than stock I would appreciate any info you have.  Even if you have a line on a stock replacement or something equal to stock that would work too.  It's seems like the past 6 months finding parts for these trucks is getting more challenging.

I'm running the venom fireball motor in mine,  I believe others are as well.    it can be pretty fast but depending on what battery you are using can make a difference as well as the gearing.

you can find them on ebay for about $10 to, so the price point is good.

Try any stock replacement motor for the rc18, or check radio shack 4 a 360 size motor.
