yes,  either will work.   you'll want to remember that the track is black so selecting a dark color car can have some unwanted hardships.  the bodies will be harder to see both for you and for other racers.     the white stripe on the mustang will make it more visible but the black M3 would be hard to see.   it's up to you of course Smiley

the 2.4 glitches less, and has a stronger Fet configuration, but will also cost quite a bit more.   If you are just getting into Mini-Z's  or RC's in general the AM car should be fine for you.  I ran one for years without any trouble.

Are you local to us?  if so we would be happy to show you the cars and let you test them at one of our race nights.
