I need to get some 64 pitch gears, do I need that bearing thingy? with the spur gear?

you will need it,  it goes in the supr gear.    after you have 1 for each diff you need you can get just the gear.

I have a package of 2 of the thrush bearings, so you could go that way if you are doing more than 1 diff.

can I just swap out the bearing as I swap out the spur? or are they diff. sizes? I was planning on buying the 18.88 64 kit that comes with three spurs and some pinions.

it also comes with the bearing.   you can use it in any of the spur gears you want.  you only need 1 per diff.  if you are just changing the gear you can use the same bearing.
