New Moster Truck Rules Proposal for 2010

Hey Guys I brought it up already but wanted to officially propose some changes to the rules for monster truck racing and freestyle for the coming season.

Common (both Racing and Freestyle):
1. I propose "Drops" be added. Not everyone can make it every time and sometimes your machine breaks, and sometimes you just have a crappy night  . I propose we add 2 drops for the season like we have for HFAY.

Racing:
1. I propose that each person gets to race the same number of times. Last night one racer started but did not complete his races. In other words not every racer had the opportunity to race and earn as many points as the earlier racers. If someone’s truck breaks in the middle of a round or they quit then they should (Choose one!!):
A. Finish with a loaner.  Or   B. Forfeit the points to the opponent.

I might have some other suggestions, but let’s hear waht everybody else thinks or has to add. I made a sticky of the current rules at the start of this section for your review of the current rules.

Actually in re-reading the current rules it appears we are not fully
following them anyway.
It looks like they need updating just to be what we are doing now.  

According to the current rules some of us got shorted points last night. Not sure who all got shorted races but I'm thinkin someone did when Brian stopped racing. And did Cygen finish all his races? Looks like my suggestion #1 for racing was already a rule and I qoute.... "No marshalling. If a truck turns over, gets stuck or is otherwise unable to continue that racer forfeits that round.".
Chad or Luke can you figure out if everybody got to race the same number of times?

Other immediate infractions:

• Batteries: Any 4-7 cells (one truck has a 2 cell lipo  )
• Tires/wheels: Stock (one truck has modified tires  )
• FreeStyle: We arent even doing these rules, we are doing something else

yep,  those were the old rules carried over from along time a go.   We can certainly update them with what we are currently doing.

As for the races last night.  Cygen did finish racing Everyone,  I only Raced Cygen and Shalayne.

Let's see what everyone else thinks.  I don't really have a preference as to what we do,  I agree that we need to make to points scoring fair for everyone.
