Wyoming Wild West Winter Carnival Mini-Z Race, presented by Wyoming Modelers Park

Wind River Casino
10269 HWY 789 • Riverton, WY 82501

Dates:
February 18th-19th. (Track will open in the evening of the 17th for practice, Practice and qualifying on Saturday the 18th ,Last Chance Qualifier and Mains on Sunday the 19th.)

Classes:
Mini-Z Stock: No Fet Upgrades, Spec motor, purchased at event.
Mini-Z F1: No Fet Upgrades, Spec motor, purchased at event.
Modified Pan Car Mini-Z: 1/28th Scale, Open Class
Mini-Z Nascar: MR-015 Chassis, No Fet Upgrades, Spec motor, purchased at event.
Kyosho Stock: No Fet Upgrades, Kyosho Stock Motor or PN 70T Motor (Kids/Beginners Class)

Entry Fee:
$15.00 for the first Class
$5.00 each additional Class.
Additional Spec Motors to be purchase at event and will be available for $7 ea.

Additional information:
This race has been run for the last 4 or 5 years. Members of Salt Lake Mini-Z have attended the last 3 years and it’s lots of fun. The race is held inside the casino (in the Ball Room) Kids are welcome to attend and race but are not permitted in the gaming area. There is a stage that is used for the drivers stand and a nice big track is setup. There are lots of great people to talk with and get help from. They have a raffle drawing that you are entered into when you register for the classes, one per class.

This is a great race to attend and one I would recommend you attend it you can.

we are getting pretty close to this race now.   I wanted to start posting some info. 

Rooms at the Roadway Inn are $59 a night for a room with 2 queen beds.   this is where we have stayed the last few years.

I'm still trying to get some info on the new Hotel that is being build at the casino.   I'll post up as soon as I have the info.

I called the Casino and they said the hotel should be done around mid January. I asked about pricing and they really dont have it yet but expect around $89 or so. I asked about group rates and they said they will have them but the price is unknown right now.

I think it would be worth a bit more to not have to pack our stuff out to the car two nights in a row if possible.

Will keep you informed as I find out more information.

I finally got a answer from the casino on the rooms.  Rooms at the casino will be $129 Friday and Saturday. Sunday the rooms are $109.  They are kind of pricey .  Let me know if anyone is interested.  I need to give them a room count.

Casino room update!  If we can get 10 rooms reserved, they will be only $80 per night!  Let me know ASAP!  I think we're up to three!

OK,  we are close to the room # needed, so keep that in mind.     we need to talk about plans for driving, rooms, etc. 

I talk with Shuman and she is going to come and race as well.   Cygen will also be coming and racing.  Meilin will be going with us as well.   I think if we take the Van we can squeeze in a few more people if they want to go with us. 

Rooms,   with the 4 of us we'll need to get our own room.   Russ you might want to talk to Nino about possibly sharing a room or Chad and Luke.

I would assume that Nino and Cady will be wanting thier own room (I know I would  :-*) and 3 guys in 1 room with 2 beds just doesnt work (sorry Chad  ) .So unless someone else from here is going and want to split a room and maybe a ride I think I might have to sit this one out.

I don't think so,   I'm sure something can be worked out...  silly, silly Russ.    I'm going to contact Jace and see if he is interested in going again.  Maybe you could split the Room with him.

Actually I was going to tell you the same thing, but for a different reason zzzzzzzz.
I am going to book a room in the Casino. For $80 I am fine getting my own room if you guys would rather get your own room. I'll leave it up to you.
