Hey Nic,,,, The oem battery works just fine.   Myself, shay, and chad are all using 7 cell airplane pattery packs, I mounted these under the radio tray with shoo goo.

Having the battery centered and further foreward makes the truck steer and jump better

I poster a pic in my gallery for ya

Hey Nic, If you are going to use the Fireball motor you would probably want to go with a 6 cell battery to keep it more under control. My battery is in the same place as Lukes but just a 6 cell. Once you move the servo to the front axle you have a huge open area under the radio tray to put the battery. I just zip tied mine in. You can move it foward or back if needed. The 7 cell pack you have might be fine though.

hey nic,,, I dont have a part number, these are just found in the airplane section of the hobby shop.   If you are going for a 6 cell pack, anything made for the mini-t or rc18t will fit fine

your ice will be able to charge just about anything.   PS, the backlit display on that is sweet, and it's a feature that isn't stock,  lets say it's a hopup.  Wink

I use this Venom 1200 myself but this Associated battery would work also. The cool thing with these is that the connector plugs into the stock connector on the VMG, presuming you still have that.

There are 7 cell options as well you will just have look for them. The guys told me that a 7 cell on a Fireball motor was too much. So you will have to decide which way to go, but either way a battery should be easy to find.

Oh and also you can buy adapters to convert any plug you might have on your ICE charger to the correct one for charging your VMG batteries.

Sweet, I blieve I will run the six cell as you mentioned it will give me the weight and balance for jumps Luke mentioned.  I'll bring in the stock battery to the hobby shop and so some shopping, I will then get an adaptor plug if needs be for the ice.
